I understand well that if we can save energy with small motors in machine tools, we can reduce costs, but since it is a running machine, we cannot stop it. We also considered inverter control, but we gave up due to the enormous initial costs. However, this motor harmonic countermeasure allows for energy savings without having to stop the machine (motor). Additionally, since it is installed in parallel to the power transformer, it provides energy-saving effects for all three-phase induction motors (200V or 400V) that are connected to the transformer. After implementation, we were able to reduce the electricity consumption from 290,000 kWh/month to 252,000 kWh/month, resulting in approximately 13% energy savings.
